Over the years I’ve discussed using vellum multiple times. One of my favorite posts about vellum was the “See-Thru Title” post back in March of 2025. Today I want to give you a different way to look at vellum elements. It’s a great way to control the chaos on a layout by using vellum to tone down some of the images. I know it sounds odd to talk about chaos on a layout. But I’m sure we’ve all seen at…
In my “Stripes” post back in June, I showed you how to use the Wave filter to create a wavy stripe pattern for paper. Today I’m going to show you how using that same filter can turn a straight word strip into a wavy word strip. But other times template colors can be off putting even when the design of the template may be quite lovely. I know that has happened to me more than once. Just…
In last week’s post I showed you how to create Curvy Borders using the Shear Filter. I know you’re going to be shocked (probably not) to hear that there is a way to create border curves without using a filter (so unlike me, right?!?). I wanted to show you last week but it would have made that post too long. So, today I want to show you how to create border curves using an underscore. That’s right, today I’m actually…
